Elvido-Vervo – Raising the bar:
The bed that goes up higher and comes down lower.
With the new Elvido-Vervo care bed, we believe we have created the perfect Stiegelmeyer solution to a familiar nursing challenge: The new Elvido-Vervo can be raised to a comfortable height of 80 cm for care staff, and lowered to just 25 cm from the floor – ideal for the user.
This innovation elegantly resolves the conflict between the need to achieve an ergonomic working height for carers and to lower the bed height for greater user safety.
A high-performance variable motor ensures rapid height adjustment and pinch protection is provided even when the bed is fully extended.
Automatic height adjustment guarantees that the bed remains absolutely horizontal and vertical at all times.

LOW is safe and comfortable for the user.
Care beds can never be too low for their occupants – the lower, the better: It reduces the risk of falling, and in the event of a fall, the consequences are far less serious. At the same time, many residents find it much easier to get in and out of low beds. And ultimately, low bed brings a touch of homeliness to a room.
HIGH is kind to carers’ backs.
For carers, beds can never be too high. Carers can work much more easily and ergonomically if they don’t have to stoop. The Elvido-Vervo can be raised to a comfortable and safe working height of 80 cm in no time.
MOBILISATION – a product of PHILOSOPHY and ENGINEERING.
Our innovative MobiCare system enables residents to get out of bed with ease and provides perfect mobility support. Side rails offer additional stability.
STABLE and MOBILE.
The ground-breaking design combines ease of handling with absolute stability. The base of the support encircles the side rails to ensure that it glides along with ease.
INFINITELY adjustable.
The central support slides fully into the parking position at the head end. The support also serves as a holder for the bed’s remote control. This allows it to be placed where it can be most easily reached. MobiCare can also be mounted on the other side of the bed if necessary.
FLEXIBLE
The MobiCare support can be stowed away in the parking position or moved freely along the side rails to serve as a mobility aid.
SAFETY first.
Continuous, integral side rails on both sides as standard guarantee a rail height of 41 cm if required.
MAXIMUM safety.
Split/combined side rails that can be adjusted either at the headboard only or all the way round.* Mounted on both sides of the bed, the side rails comply with regulatory requirements for using restraints.
Split rails for OPTIMUM FLEXIBILTY.
Half rails at the head end and generous clearance at the foot end allows occupants to get out of bed safely.
Greater SAFETY.
The version with three safety bars* offers even greater safety. Fall protection to a height of up to 46 cm.
OPTIMUM SAFETY: Detachable side rail bars.
When thick mattresses are used, the safety rail height can be extended by around 14.5 cm with an extra side rail bar*. An eccentric cam is provided to accommodate different bar designs.
SIDE PROTECTION – a perfect balance between safety and freedom.
Side rails actively contribute to routine safety – but we never loose sight of the needs of the care recipient, who wants to feel comfortable but not restrained. Neither do we forget the carers’ needs. We want to make their day-to-day work as easy as possible.
High SIDE RAILS.
Side rails extending to a height of 41 cm above the mattress base keep the occupant safe (even when using just the head-end rails) as well as accommodating mattress systems up to 19 cm deep. And it goes without saying that the split/combined side rails have been developed in compliance with standard DIN EN 60601-2-52.
EXTENDABLE mattress base.
A mattress extension with adapter (20 cm) fits onto the extension piece. Please specify the mattress height with your order*.
Elvido BED EXTENSION.
All Elvido models are supplied with a pull-out extension piece as standard. Simply replace the side rail bars and add additional facings. Example installation side extension kits*.
Telescopic BED EXTENSION.
All Elvido models can be supplied with a factory-fitted integral bed extension with telescopic side rail bars * and facings*.
INFRARED remote control*
Remove the cable from the hand switch, and you take away a potential tripping hazard. Wireless remote control is safer and more convenient.
SHINING example.
The reading lamp* simply connects to the integrated lamp outlet*. The OpenBus system provides the power supply and control mechanism – this does away with the need for a transformer and a tangle of cables, as well as sparing a socket.
UNDER BED LIGHT
The under bed light* helps residents find their way back to bed in the dark, thus avoiding potential falls. However, it is discreet enough to avoid disturbing the occupant of the neighbouring bed.
HYGIENIC MATTRESS BASE
Robust, easy-care polypropylene mattress base. Deep ventilation slits for breathability. Optionally available with additional slots for perfectly positioning straps (back- and seat rests included as standard). The hygienic mattress base is removable and resistant to conventional cleaning agents.
COMFORTABLE MATTRESS BASE*
30 flexibly mounted base panels and 80 pivot springs with varying degrees of hardness offer optimum lying comfort and easy cleaning.
DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
All mattress base positions can be controlled using the hand switch. Each function can be individually locked using a programmable chip key to prevent accidental adjustment of the mattress base.
Gently does it.
Wall distance holders provide optimum protection for bed and walls. Mounted on the underside of the bed, they maintain a safe distance from the wall no matter what the position of the mattress base.
SAFETY on the move.
Wall deflection rollers protect walls during routine manoeuvres.
EASY LIFTING
The Elvido has sufficient clearance to accommodate standard patient hoists up to 130 cm wide.
EASY LIFTING at low levels
Even the height-adjustable Movo is designed to accommodate a patient hoist from for a mattress base height of around 40 cm.
SUPPORTIVE
Brackets for attaching universal holders can be supplied for use in conjunction with a supply rail*.
PRACTICAL
The integral bed stripper is easy to extend and saves time on routine tasks*.
