Decubitus ulcers, or bed sores, are still a common problem in daily nursing care. As well as ensuring adequate mobilisation, it is crucial to choose the correct supportive bedding system to avoid this problem in susceptible patients. Our special anti-decubitus mattress systems are designed to combat bed sores by supporting patient mobilisation. They are thicker and more supportive than standard mattresses with a 10 cm-wide reinforced edging strip.

Care – Mattress systems

During the production process, particular attention is paid to reducing frictional and shear forces when joining different materials such as cold foam and viscoelastic layers.

Extra thick mattresses with a depth of over 12 cm can also help relieve pressure. We would be happy to advise you on the ideal combination of bed and mattress system to effectively combat bed sores.
